I know that we are trying to be like BSU and TCU, recruit athletes, put them in the weight room, the Hall of Pain (feel free to use that one)then coach them up. But let's move beyond that..
So I follow the link to Escobar's Rival page. There he is in his two star glory. When I always look at the guys on his page that Rivals says are similar. Well here I hit the mother lode, three's is a kid, Jake Golic, from Connecticut. Grew up there so I link on the kid. Well old Jakie is Mike Golic's son. Better yet he commits to ND. Drill down he played in 3 games in 2010 and broke his arm last summer. Wonder whom you would rather have, Escobar or Golic?
Well I hit the Connecticut jackpot with Anthony Schiavonne as a two star on Golic's page. He committed and enrolled early at Iowa State. Never made opening day kick off in 2009. Left the program.
Wonder who is doing better with their two star TE?

My prediction: Our recruiting class this year will rank nationally between 80 and 85. Some will call that an "improvement", since we were 97th last year. Others might say damned with faint praise.
I think at this rate we'll get to the top 25 when California is annexed to Mexico. No, wait...

I suspect that more that just a few of our prospective recruits have been told by the competition that we're getting blown out of the Big East deal because Boise might back out.
