"Because he's the hero SDSU deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a dark knight." -Commissioner Gordon on Rocky Long

It says on the Mesa on Rivals that references to SDSU on Aysee's MySpace have been deleted and rumor has it he didn't qualify. The writing is on the wall, gentlemen.
On the positive side, that frees up another scholarship for 2013.

Interesting news........awhile back on a radio interview I remember Rocky talking about him and how impressed he was with his game, maturity, etc. Rocky also said that he wouldn't join the program until the Fall.

This morning I checked his facebook had alot of SDSU pictures comments. Two hours later it was private. So that says it all Best of luck to him in everything he does. Keep going to school Justin.
In another issue why are we not recruiting some more guards we lose Miller,Embernate and Johnson. Seems like we have lots of tackles, few guards.
It's not looking good on the Aysse front. Nothing confirmed yet, but odds are he didn't qualify.
Bummer, I was really pulling for him and it would have been a great story.
Nothing shocking because the JC guys are always a crap shoot anyway. I knew it was 50/50 chance if we got one of the two JC linemen on campus. At least we got Poole. I was pulling for him as well James. Coming from the Marines im sure he would have been a good leader and a hard worker.

I can see either/both Austin Maass and/or Nico Siragusa manning a guard spot for 4 years.

QUESTION: It seems, each succeeding class is increasing in quality. Should guys like Siragusa, K. Miller, and some of the high quality incoming freshmen NOT redshirt. Wouldn't it be good to get them some playing time prepatory to entry to the BE? Wouldn't that give them a leg up on future hot-shots who would be breathing down their necks for playing time, AND give us better rotation and depth in the meantime?
Don't know anything about that but have been told he is one of the two best WR's on the team in 7 on 7's that have been going on recently.
I heard about a shoulder issue, as well. He hurt it in the spring and elected not to have surgery, just let it heal - if I remember correctly.
Yes, that was the last thing that happened to him. He has been doing very well in workouts this summer and 7 on 7's. He and Lockett have been the best two WR's.

All im going to say on this topic is OL is the toughest position for a true freshman to come in and play right away. Usually it takes OL about 2 years in the weight room to get ready for college ball. But these kids we brought in are very talented and it wouldn't surprise me if they are ahead of the curve.

a player has to be really, really good to play snaps as a true frosh, and the closer to the snap, the more of a full grown man they have to be. That said, there is no reason that some of the better ones can't help improve our still fairly lousy special teams.
