Then wouldn't one make the argument that the Big West, and its inferior competition would be something the AF would consider? You know, because he doesn't want his kids "beat up".
Makes you wonder if he made up the offer from the B12 as a bargaining tool for the BE.
Basketball is the only step down, most everything else is better in the big west, and they already finish last in everything else so who cares.

And you think the BIg West doesn't want Boise's other sports? How about Air Force - they have 4 mwc titles men and women's regular and tourney in 13 years, boise had 3 this year.
Air Force could have left for the Big 12 but turned it down because of the competition, more lousy teams is exactly what Air Force wants - and no conference wants Air Force's other sports that never win and in fact almost every year are below .500
I have a very hard time believing this. What competitive organization wants weaker competition? And to me a military-based team is the LEAST likely to seek out weaker companions. And if they were truly considered for the Big 12, with the HUGE boost in revenues that they'd have gotten, and they turned it down, they should be brought up on gross incompetence and dereliction charges.
Air Force wants weaker competition. If not they would be in the Big East.
