Congratulations Alec! The lumberjacks are a well coached team and one of the better teams in the CCAA.
I love going to golden eagle vs jacks bball games at the Eagle's Nest. Now, I'm really looking forward those games this season.

Not saying it's anyone who has posted in this thread so far, but now that he's no longer taking a scholarship, certain "fans" seem to be going out of their way to heap the praise on Alec. "Fans being fans" I suppose, but I'd lean more toward describing it as fans being idiots.

I am surprised he couldnt find a DI school......and then theres the whole deal where everyone at Humboldt is a pothead.

Lumberjack's open up against the U of Arizona. Alec's got some Tucson experience. I hope Alec helps their team put a whooping on UCSD in league play!

I went to Humboldt for a year.....
Bill Walton would have loved to have been there....
San Diego CIF and Kearny High's scoring leader Dick Dowling (early 6o's) starred there....
And it is a great place for Alec to land and show what he can do.

I'm kind of surprised he went for D 2. I guess he didn't want to sit out a year. He should be able to dominate. He is no sloutch. He just couldn't get min on a top 20 program.
