UNLV had a great recruiting class this year, but other than that, I can't find myself giving two shits about UNLV one way or the other. Must be the offseason.

SDSU's infatuation with UNLV is flattering, but the feeling is not mutual.

Except for the fact that America Ferrera cleans up quite nicely as well. Which pretty much makes the whole thread a dumb reflection of our fans.

Eh. The whole "hate" against UNLV feels too manufactured to me. I dislike them but I can never really get up for games against the Rebels like I did against BYU. It's just not the same. Not saying I don't enjoy smacking them around like redheaded stepchildren but it'd be fun if they put up more of a fight.

Good rivalry but nothing like the hate that BYU brings out.

SDSU/UNLV has the potential to be a much better rivalry though. Our schools/cities are quite similar. I hope we end up in the same conference again someday. BYU can play just with themselves....as their vow of virginity pretty much forces anyway.

agree w/ the above. i think we are more their rival than they are ours...
could be wrong, but it's been at least a few years since they've been on our level. close games, yes. but we always win so the hate hasn't been there. plus, who is there to hate? the 70 year olds that fill viejas east to 60%?
this year should be a bit different, since towards the second half of last year the show inspired some of the kids at unlv to spend their ebt money on a cardboard cut out and try to put a student section together. and hopefully d rice can actually get some use out of his recruits - something the rubels haven't been able to do in quite some time.
bottom line... this thread is pretty silly. until they prove something to us, F' em.

whooaaaa I've seen some arrogant Aztec postings since your "fans" actually started to give a sh@t about your basketball program in the last 5 years but you take the cake buddy. As Monster said above SDSU's love affair with UNLV seizes to amaze me in your constant comparisons to UNLV. Sorry to burst your ever inflating bubble but Nevada is UNLV's rival, not SDSU. You guys have zero rivals so you think UNLV and BYU are yours (sorry BYU is taken also). Second, I don't think any Aztec fan should be making remarks about a student section taking ideas from other student sections, any Utah State fan can second that. I'm just going to go ahead and leave the "UNLV isn't on our level" comment alone because its 2 easy. What you should be more concerned about is how you're going to fill the Viejas after your basketball program fizzles away in the Big West. It would have shed a bright yet brief light on college basketball. Milk this season for all its worth guys because in 13-14 a 15-1 conference record and a tournament championship will grant you a whopping 12 seed. Cheers!

It "seizes" to amaze you? Is that like a seizure? As to UNLV, I don't remember them beating us in recent years. After all, it was 31-14 last year -- in the real sport that matters anyway. I'm confused about he 13-14 and 15-1 above. We only play 12 games this year, plus a bowl game of course.
