I know that I don't stand alone in thinking that the Aztecs surprise, and come out on top with a last minute field goal. We're due for the big win.
Aztecs by 1 to 3 pts.

I think we will probably open as a 7-10 point dog. I am going to go with my heart and say the Aztecs win by 3.

Why are there more options for the Aztecs to lose than win?

24 point win for the Aztecs!!
And, after that espeeN will go on TV and mention how well the pac-fudge huskers did in their first game beating the Aztecs, even though the Aztecs won the game...
Final 30-6...a late gift td by the refs to keep the huskers from a big doughnut hole just like Claude Gilbert's shellacking of the Cal-comms a few years ago...
Go Aztecs!

If you look at last years UDub team they started the season off really slow and played close games with weaker teams, but got blown out by real good teams. I hope they over look us and and see us as a tune up for LSU but I know they'll be ready they don't want to start the season off 0-2

If Sarkisian starts off 0-2, his head goes to the front of the chopping block line. That means, he's focused on us. A loss in Baton Rouge means nothing. A loss to SDSU could mean his job.

Can't vote on this one. No selection for Huskies -3.5
That said, I think our new kicker will be the X-Factor. If he makes his damn kicks, not only do the Aztecs not leave important points on the table that SDSU teams have historically pissed away in big games like this n the past (duh...), but it will also change the field position battle.
Our new kicker had better be engaging in Jedi mind strengthening exercises in preperation for this one. Time to break through on the road like the basketball team has on numerous occasions over the past few years.
Lastly, don't underestimate the noise level in this one. That stadium locks it in with all those fans right on top of the action.

This is a good poll. However, anybody who thinks SDSU will be favored is smoking crack.
The opening line will be about Huskies -10 (usual 3-point home advantage plus a TD). Where is moves from there will be mainly up to the real experts. Could go as low as Washington -8 or as high as UDub -13.

They will be favored but that doesn't mean they'll win. I have more confidence in our players than I do with gametime playcalling and coaching. We can play-around their sumo-sized DT's maybe with some no-huddle. Their DT's are big but they've got a lot of vowels. Our cornerbacks can play man-to-man and free a player to attend to their TE. Our defensive line might really kick ass and our DE's are going to be able to contain their QB. We have some interesting match-ups in our favor. I hope.

Obviously, the Huskies will be favored, but that does not mean we can't win. The team will just have to be well prepared, and come out with a determined "WE Can't Lose" attitude. It soitenly doesn't hurt if we get a few turnovers also!
Go Aztecs!!!
