Not trying to speak for sleepy but...
Creating massive visual blight on a natural mountainside that the university does not own is a totally different situation from the efforts to maybe build a modestly sized football stadium on land that the university will own and is not protected habitat.

 Wasn't a piece of property purchased about a year ago (that is currently apartment building) off off 55 th Ave. and north of the baseball fields that would be large enough? Thought I read an article about that! Any body remember that? Someone had posted a graphic of potential layout on the site?....walkonfan
