dumb move, fisher will put down the gauntlet down on this one. Agree no Syracuse game and probably a six game team suspension.

The fact that a basketball player got busted for weed isn't major news. But, the fact that he's SDSU's star recruit is worrisome. Better hope he doesn't think he's above the law because of his status.

Personally, I would be shocked if Fish did not suspend him for a few games. He will want to stop this nonsense immediately so the kid does not return to the weed in the future.

This is a stupid, kid mistake. Not that he's a stupid kid. But, it was a stupid mistake kids make. I had to learn this way. Now, he'll learn to smoke weed in the privacy of a home.

IDK, that's why I am asking. There was a prior post referring to Franklin having a similar situation. So, no other SDSU players have gotten busted or suspended by Fisher for illicit use of drugs?

You need to. Not so much for him. I am sure he already learned his lesson. But you need to do it for compliance reasons.

Plus it doesnt hurt us if you suspend him for the first few games. He isnt going to be a starter the first part of the season anyways.

So I think it would be a smart move if fisher suspends him. Again, not to punish him, but to show to outsiders that we wont sweep things under the rug or let things slide.

Franklin was caught drinking underage. The last player I can think of that got busted for smoking pot was Spain, and that was four+ years ago. Though I seem to recall Fish levied a pretty heavy punishment on him, but that may have been because it was his 2nd "strike".

This is preposterous, marijuana is decriminalized in CA meaning it's no worse then getting a jay walking ticket. Get a grip people, most of your beloved Aztec athletes smoke pot.
