Do people really say uniforms mean nothing?

Hopefully with that Big East Money we can get some nicer facilities for Football, as well as B-ball

Use the money for something useful, like better parking facilities, logistics and food stands. All what matters is the score.

Uh, we can't afford quality, experienced football assistant coaches. They're NOT going to spring for uniforms.

Its not the uniforms - its the ventilated lockers that matter. :P

UUUUhhh....., keep in mind we have not been paid any money yet, so naturally we wouldn't have any to spend, but that will change soon!

Did you notice also that of all those uniforms the Oregon QB was proudly showing, only three or four had the actual school colors on them?

Didn't care about the designs, but I would not want to play for a school that doesn't have enough pride in themselves to at least have the actual school colors on the uniform. If not, why don't they change their color to concrete gray, or whatever turns the new recruits on?

Another thing I thought was strange. He pointed up to the large emblem/sign of Oregon being in the NC game even though they got their butts whipped by LSU. It used to be you only showed a trophy, or whatever if you won the NC, not just for playing in it! Seems very shallow to me. That would also be my first response to him as he showed it to me.., "Oh Yeah! Is that the game LSU ploughed your team's feathers into the ground?!!!" :-[

This last Fall there was a statement by Nike that Oregon had over 80 combinations available regarding their football uniforms.

Great! But, to me very few look good at all because they have little, or nothing in the way of true school colors.

I do like the (duck)feather design on the shoulders of a couple of them. That does look good. We should have the Aztec interlocking C design on ours!

oregon takes it a little too far with all the combos. I think we should mix it up with a regular jersey/away jersey/ and a 3rd jersey, like hockey.

With the way the pot is multiplying, AztecTom might be able to be our Phil Knight if he can score a point on Tec.

Completely agree, 2 Helmets (+ Military/Special Occasions Helmets), 3 jerseys(Red,Black,White) and 2 pants (Black/White) is enough.

Quality over Quantity

Chris Hansen the wealthy hedge fund guru in SFO who is financially spear-heading the construction of the new NBA/NHL arena Seattle is a Aztec alum. Wonder if Sterk or anyone else from SDSU has contacted him?

Hahaha. Yup, same name, but that's not the one. In this case, it's to catch a donor ;)

Hawai'i made it to the Sugar Bowl in a season they didn't have soap in their showers for spring ball. They did add silver helmets and pants to their wardrobe that year. So I guess they'd rather look good and smell like $#!+.

His plan to get an NBA team in Seattle is stalling. I think it is time for The AZTEC Nation & "The Show" to embrace Hansen with an invite to lead "The Show" next season. He loves BB, what better than love for your Alma Mater & it's BB team??

GO AZTECS!

It does matter. They get elite athletes and have played in 2 Rose Bowls and The National Championship in the past 3 years. You look good, you feel good, you feel good you play good.
