Basketball Renewals - Deposits - UCLA Info « Thread Started on Apr 12, 2012, 1:53pm »
Basketball renewals were scheduled to go out today. They are being postponed until the end of the month due to much more info that is becoming available. The renewals will include the option to buy UCLA tickets. Tickets for the Wooden Classic are going VERY WELL (they don't want me to share numbers for various reasons).
We have a certain allotment right now. The more you buy right now...will allow us to probably increase our allotment and create a giant Aztec crowd.
Tickets will be dispersed by your Aztec Club Point total. They have a cut-off date in mind but we will certainly get a definite date to you when your order has to be in for the first round (it won't be before the renewals go out). The more tickets we purchase now...the better it will be for every Aztec fan...as we'll be able to order more of the better sections.
SDSU gets a very nice percentage of all tickets bought through our program.
Deposits for new season ticket holders. There may be a number out there saying how many deposits we have (I'm not supposed to give it out)...but it's a big number...much bigger than last year.
New season ticket holders will also go by their Aztec Club points...and then the order they paid their deposit. If you want to move up in line...JOIN THE AZTEC CLUB NOW AND/OR INCREASE YOUR DONATION. I'm happy to talk with any of you about this...just email or PM me (or another board member that you know).

Dave, happy to hear renewals are going out soon. I have been wondering what was up with that. However, one thing you have written has confused me (I am easily confused though=), how can they have a big number of deposits already on hand when renewals have yet to go out??

Deposits are from new people wanting season tickets. They will be dealt with after current season ticket holders have the opportunity to renew, upgrade and or add seats.

Just a reminder that Aztec Club donations can be made through monthly debits. AND your donation level includes corporate match if you have that available. Easy peasy!

I'm glad that season ticket deposits are going so well...at the same time, I'm disappointed that when I put my deposit down, they said that that would guarantee me seats...now, they have changed their policy and are going by Aztec Club points, then by deposit date. It would really be disappointing to make a donation and still not get season tickets!

Will those be discounted tickets? I have already purchased mine for the UCLA game, so as a season ticket holder I would kind of be disappointed if these renewal options offer discounted UCLA tickets if I already bought the UCLA tickets separate and still plan on renewing my season tickets.

They will be the same price and in the same allotment (up to a certain time) that current purchasers have. What you did goes a long way in helping to forecast how many tickets we will need.

Forgot to mention (modified first post) that SDSU gets a very nice percentage of the ticket revenue that goes through our system (online and the ticket office).
Please make sure you buy your tickets directly from the school.

I don't think I have ever seen language indicating a "guarantee" for new deposits. It is always a "chance" at a seat.

Dave, do you think we can posess our season tickets before the season starts? It was a mess last year, hopefully that will get resolved this time around.

So last year, a friend of mine bought 2 pairs of season seats. One for him, and one for me. Which is fine, except I didn't get any points. Is there anyway to have him renew mine, and transfer it to my name or something?

If you ordered them through Gradfest, they are guaranteed to get you a ticket. Hang in there, Matt Apr 12, 2012, 3:10pm, twobits wrote:

Send me names and your contact info and I'll see what I can do.
