“They know we’re gonna play hard to the end. They know we’re gonna be tough guys, we’re gonna run the ball, we’re gonna play-action pass, we’re gonna get after your ass on defense and we’ll see how the score comes out.” - Rocky Long, 2011
I'd rather have a brutal schedule. Easy schedules make it near impossible to win a national title.
That's why you're playing us
The game against you won't be easy but the game the following week might be the toughest OOC game any team will play this coming season. @LSU Stanford @Oregon USC
All in the first 6 games. If we are even 4-2 after that stretch we are ranked. 5-1 and we are top 10.

You might be looking at 1-5 with the 1 being portland state.
Brutal schedule indeed, here's hoping you look past us - should be a fun game, plan to be there.

The home games don't scare me at much as the road games. Winning either @LSU and @Oregon will be very very very tough. USC is beatable when they come to Seattle. They haven't been scary good since their 2005 team.
As for your schedule you have @Washington @Boise St. and...... no1 else
I know, isn't it awesome! Pretty good timing for when we have to break in a new QB to replace a 4-year starter. Hopefully we can take a double-digit win total, plus a bowl game win, with us to the Big East.
Oh, wait, you were trying to troll us? Eh, too bad for you.
The biggest problem I see with this schedule is home attendance. No visiting big name draws to boost attendance.
What has hurt attendance more than anything over the years is starting slowly. Too many casual fans are clueless about the constraints we have sometimes faced. If we start well this year, those same casual fans will be clueless about what a middling achievement it is and come out in droves for Colorado State, just you watch.

I don't think that will be a worry in 2012. Remember Slick Rick, he hated B teams like us. He said there was no reason to play them because you should beat them & if you lose you look bad. Ricky was about creampuffs & challenges!
