San Diego State is looking for one more home game. Very best dates are Dec 17 or 18, but open to others. Can start a H/H and also have money to buy the game. Please let me know if you have an interest. Thanks-matt
The Aztecs conference schedule has 2 byes for every team. The Aztecs have a Wednesday off in the first half and Saturday March 2 off in the second half. How about Cal State Bakersfield?
From basketballtravelers:
Cal State Bakersfield is looking for two guarantee games to be played in January or February and it does not matter which region it is in. contact Kevin Missouri 5103143747
Cal State Bakersfield had a .500 record last year so RPI shouldn't be an issue.
Montana was 23-6 last year and: Montana needs a guarantee game in December, first half of the month (any date available).
Imagine if a year took a century to unfold and you were born in the dead of winter; the coming of summer would seem a frightening change, with temperatures rising dramatically and seemingly without limit.

We should jump on that.
I think its best the team has some time off during the grind of conference season. Really no need to try to squeeze a game in that would essentially have us playing a ton of games throughout the toughest part of the season with no more than 2-3 days off.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSU Bakersfield head men's basketball coach Rod Barnes has released his 2012-13 men's basketball schedule featuring an all-time high 10 opponents coming off postseason tournament bids last year and at least two nationally-televised games this upcoming season.
"This year we have about half our games against teams that played in a postseason tournament last season including five teams that were in the NCAA Tournament field; Cal, South Dakota State, UNLV, Colorado State and San Diego State," Barnes said. "This caliber of opponents will prepare us and hopefully help us achieve our goals of getting back to the postseason in March."
The Roadrunners, competing as an Independent, will take on teams from 12 different conferences this season, including three teams from the Mountain West Conference beginning with a Nov. 24 trip to Wyoming. The Cowboys will return the trip and play for the first time in Bakersfield on Feb. 6. CSUB's other games against MWC schools will be on the road, Jan. 2 at San Diego St. and Jan. 5 at UNLV.
"This is a highly-competitive schedule that Coach Barnes has assembled and we look forward to the challenge of per- forming against a schedule that will continue to elevate the status of our program," said Athletic Director Jeff Konya. "The luxury of being a Division I Independent is being able to put together a schedule like this and that would be tough to emu- late in most one postseason-bid conferences."
CSUB will open the home portion of their schedule on Nov. 9 at 6 P.M. against 2011 NIT participant UT-Arlington at the Icardo Center. That game is part of a doubleheader with the CSUB women's basketball team who will host Arizona later that evening. CSUB will have a total of 13 regular season home games this season featuring Wyoming, Cal State Fullerton, Utah Valley and Loyola Marymount.
The 'Runners will find themselves on national television at least twice in 2012-13 when their third and fourth round games in the Las Vegas Classic are televised live from the Orleans Arena on CBS College Sports Network. Opponents and broadcast times are still being determined. CSUB is also expected to appear on regional television several times this sea- son as well during their travels.
The Roadrunners will open the exhibition portion of their schedule on Saturday, Nov. 3 when they host Whittier College at the Icardo Center. CSUB is coming off their most successful season since making the NCAA Division I transition posting a 16-14 regular season record and qualifying for the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament where they lost in the first round to eventual runner-up Utah State.

On Bakersfield they return 74% of their scoring including their top 3 scorers, they add Brandon Barnes who had a decent season at Lipscomb. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/45552/brandon-barnes , Javonte Maynor who had good season at Georgia State as a three point shooter http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/51128/javonte-maynor , they also added Tevin Harris who is going to be a big part of there team he was a good shot blocker at san bernandina community college I believe. SDSU should still handle this team as it has very little size but they should be solid this year.

im gonna whine for a little bit, so please forgive me...
The "home" schedule sucks balls for the season ticket holders. We get 1 really good game (UNLV), maybe 2-3 "good" games (New Mexico, Colorado state,USD) and the rest of the games are pretty garbage.
Dont get me wrong, i will be at the Baskersfield game, just as i was at the Occidental game, but really? We get ZERO good OOC games? It sucks when USD is by far the best OOC game we have. Yes, its nice to play SYracuse, but how many of us will actually get to go to that game?
The ticket department did its job of selling out the season essentially, but i think we will see a lot of empty seats. Even moreso because there is no GA. I live next to campus, so its not hard for me to get over there, but i see the secondary market flooded with tickets and Viejas at about 75% full on most its "sell outs"

ok im done. Go aztecs!
More unlucky than anything. It's not that we aren't trying to get some marquee games at home, it just so happens that a lot of our good contracts expired last year or the year before. Or we are playing them in a mid-season tournament so we pushed back our return game (AZ). We had a TON of great home games last season, but given the team we have coming back, what team is really going to want to start a home and home with us this season? Next season, maybe. But not when experts have started ranking us in next year's preseason top ten. Can't blame anyone really.

It will get tougher to schedule home games against the upper echelon teams as we continue to improve. The major conference teams have more downside than upside in playing us, either a home and home or even a single game. Eventually we will get these games like Gonzaga has been able to. The preseason tourneys early season "special games" is the best option.

All 8 MWC home opponents are better than USD. UCSB is better than USD. Cal State Bakersfield is better than USD (they played last year and UCB won by 9).
