No UofA, because of the Diamondhead
@USC is a definite.
LBSU at least is not a guarantee as it was a home and home series, but hopefully we'll play them I'm not sure on UCSB since we've played them so many straight years not sure if we're still contracted, but would imagine we'll play them
MVC challenge was renewed last year so that's a definite
Sdenik didn't want to play us 2 years ago, so doubt he'll play us again ASU
Cal was a 2 game series, seriously doubt Monty will play us again
@Chicago State is a return game for their Aztec Alum coach
USD - frankly not sure why we should continue playing them, but we will
Plus some cupcakes we will play. Elon and those kind of teams also a sorry BW school
played SD Christian 2 years in a row (before that I never even knew that school existed and I lived in SD for a decade)
2 of the following for exhibition: closed door scrimmage, PLNU, CSUSM, UCSD (one of those articles said their coach hangs around a lot, so fish might through him a bone, and CSUSM had fun with it and they're in the system so schedule them instead of PLNU)

I would think that they LBSU has to want to play us. Streghten their OCC schedule and the fact we beat them that last two years has to leave a sour taste in their mouths.

Since Arizona is a participant in the Diamond Head Classic, it's pretty safe to assume that the Zonies will not be otherwise on the schedule next year. Look for them in 2013, though.

Yeah my wife goes to SDCC for her teaching credential (yeah great career prospectus there) its a tiny school in El Cajon and are rumored to be moving to the new business parks in Santee behind Target area.
The Diamond Head is a bracket format, no guarantee to play them unless we play them round 1. Would they still cancel home game in SD?
Was the UCONN talk for the Midway Classic? Most websites confirm SDSU and Georgetown invited, but no announcement until after NCAA Tournament.
What was all the Memphis talk about a few weeks ago?
The UConn talk was in regards to the Carrier Classic put on by Morale Entertainment, the fuktard promoter that apparently everyone hates and no one wants to deal with (at least that's the impression I get from reading some of the comments attributed to various figures in the recent stories). That's the one that's allegedly headed for South Carolina that may or may not even happen at this point, and the promoters claimed to already have UConn under contract. $#!+ lot of good that'll do since they'll be docked scholarships next year and banned from both the NCAA's and Big East Tournament.
The Midway Classic is being put on in conjunction with the San Diego Sports Commission, and is rumored to include Georgetown.

Sterk and others have commented that UCONN and SDSU have had prelim. talks about starting the home and home next year separate from the Carrier talk. Now, whether that happens, who knows, but one would imagine UConn will barnstorm a bit more next year since they won't be in the tourney

They've got some serious issues to deal with right now. Probation, APR, and whether or not Calhoun will come back next year or retire--he's had health issues the last few years and missed a bunch of games this year because of it. His ego, I'm sure, won't let him step down, but his health may force him to do so. But the longer it lingers on, the more uncertain their future becomes, and the further into ignominy their program falls.

Indeed. He's taken health breaks at least the last 2 years and there was a 3rd one 3 or 4 years ago. His future is very much in doubt. Uconn is building a 20 million dollar practice facility, so whoever gets the keys to the Lambo in the next couple years will have that program performing at or near the levels they have been

take it the "Midway" game would not be part of the season ticket package if sponsored by another group. Any chance of getting it on a major network. for TV. Coaches could use the time when we play Chicago State to recruit the area up there. There is a recruit named Jabari ,from that area. If Brian Carlwell is home he could stop by to say hello.
Imagine if a year took a century to unfold and you were born in the dead of winter; the coming of summer would seem a frightening change, with temperatures rising dramatically and seemingly without limit.
