caw - good points, well taken on both.

bigernmccracken - neither team will be nervous. they're both good teams and there for a reason. now if panicking gets two solid blocks and a steal to end the OT game vs temple then i'll take it. But yea we did get sloppy at the end of regulation. so i get it.

dyslexic - Carlwell is no Thomas or billy white but he's a solid big who might be important incase ours get in foul trouble. Davies is a real good freshman, but BYU goes as jimmer goes. Everyone knows that. And if your really going to start pounding how Fisher is not a capable coach you really have no clue.

Ask Jalen Rose who the ESPN honks in Bristol are all rooting for. It ain't us... There's your pressure.

And the crowd WILL have an IMPACT! Don't talk to me about MSG. This is different and many coaches & announcers have said as much all season long. I wonder if UCONN is mentally preparing in some way for it? Hell, I KNOW they are. It's different. Tune in to witness, UCONN Fan.

I'm wondering what excuses UCONN and the press will serve up once they've lost to us tomorrow.

How desperate are UConn fans for attention (like tb5275 and bigernmcracken) to go and set up accounts on another school's fan boards? Typical Big East show-offs, like ball hog Kemba, and their low IQ basketball fundamentals. Welcome to the world of the West Coast, troglodytes. UConn is like most Big East frauds, big doofuses and a frisbee catching dog.

Because your reasoning isn't "reasoning" it's biased un-objectivity, backed by hyperbole in regards to all of your post with the exception of the facts you speak of in regards to Calhoun.

Other than I don't now why we'd respond. ??? There are a few of your ilk who are well spoken and have well thought out posts on this board. Unfortunatley for us, you're not one of them. ;D

I don't get why people can't be civil even if they are on a basically anonymous message board. Anyway, if SDSU wins, good luck. But in no way good luck for the next 36 hours or so (wanna give myself some extra time, in case it's a 6 OT affair).

aztecron: no wonder you're an 'assistant coach'...that was the most impressive sentence I've ever read. You have earned your ranking for sure. Well done.

matteosandiego: Aww, civil to the other uconn comments. i feel left out.
Fischer has done it with solid recruiting classes, twice; michigan and this year's team. Let's see him maintain it and keep players coming. Shouldn't be hard to put out positive results with the schedule you play...for example: against all (both) ranked teams you played this year, one being Gonzaga.

Hey matteosandiego...USD beat UConn that year without their best player, AJ Price, who left with an ACL in the first. You're right though, USD is bad...worst than SDSU, can't deny that at all. But I'm sure you'd struggle in March without Leonard too.

you guys r a sick young team with an awesome player. these were just my reasons. i'm sure you could make a list too. Either way i believe it will be one of the top games of this years tournament.

and i also dont make excuses for a loss.
I plainly said Leonard is the foundation for our play.
If Kemba is not on fire you guys will fall flat.
But if Kawhi only makes 4 field goals, we have other guys capable of leading as they've done all year.
I honestly think it could go either way and if we lose we lose. But you not showing any respect to a team and a conference that has just as many sweet sixteen participants as yours just shows how much your basing your opinions on being a homer.

But im glad you and the rest of connecticut feel that way. Maybe Malcolm Thomas knew what Kemba was thnking this week when he told him via twitter

Maybe that inspired Kemba to actually get a Twitter account yesterday (ezpassone5)...he saw that he wrote to the wrong one. Pretty bold nonetheless.

Tough to get in more than two when both are playing another big east team...I will agree though, the Big East showing was pathetic. However, the 'last one in'..Marquette..they're still playing.

And Kemba not being on fire is very possible, but him not being effective is pretty far-fetched, so don't expect UConn to fall flat.

Enjoy the game. At least it'll be a short drive home for your squad.
